The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: Southerly winds still fresh at times in exposed positions, but moderating and turning to north-westerly tomorrow. Some further showers today, but weather becoming fair to mild. Temperatures cold with some frosts in sheltered positions. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Fair. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 6 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. yesterday and 14 points for the 24 hours ending at 9 a.m. today. PHASES OF THE MOON.
