BAYONET CHARGE
JAPANESE FORCED BACK. GN PART OF NORTH CHINA FRONT. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) CHUNGKING, May 2. The Japanese east of the Taihang Mountains, on the Northern China front, covered by planes, continued to attack south-east of Linhsien, but were forced back after a determined bayonet charge. West of the mountains, fighting is unabated, in spite of the enemy loss of more than 600 killed and wounded. Peasant partisans' are aiding the Chinese.
