STORM TROOPS CHIEF “AS RESULT OF GAR ACCIDENT.” FORMER BULGAR OFFICIAL ASSASSINATED. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.5 a.m.) LONDON, May 3. The Berlin radio announced that the Storm Troops chief, Victor Lutze, died in Potsdam as a result of a car accident. The radio also announced that a man and woman concealed behind a staircase shot dead Panteff, a former Bulgarian police president, when he entered his house. The radio added that Panteff was the victim of a political crime. The assailants, who escaped, are believed to be the same couple as are held responsible for a series of recent political assassinations in Sofia. Panteff, when police chief, was noted for his drive against the Communists.
