TROOP TRAINS
DERAILED BY SABOTEURS IN FRANCE MANY GERMANS KILLED OR INJURED WORKERS RUIN THOUSANDS OF LORRIES. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, May 1. Fifty-two Germans were killed and 150 injured when saboteurs derailed a train between Nevers and Chagny. This is revealed by Fighting French headquarters, which say that a train carrying soldiers on leave, and another leave train two days previously were blown off the track at Rebecourt, on * the Paris-Berlin main line, killing 30Germans, and seriously injuring 100. Both derailments held up traffic for upward of 76 hours. French workers in recent months ruined 5000 lorries and wasted 300 tons of petrol, according to the official German report on foreign workers in Germany, says Reuter’s Zurich correspondent. The report says that when French workers are left alone in a factory for two hours the place is certain to be an unholy mess afterward. The correspondent adds that military police in Marseilles and other French towns have been greatly reinforced. A'fiig demonstration is expected when 'Tunis and Bizerta are captured.
