WOMEN GUERILLAS

GERMANS SHOT DOWN AT CLOSE RANGE. A Soviet guerilla detachment which operates in the Bryansk forests and includes 2G girls recently attacked a German-occupied village. They closed in .on the place from two sides and disposed of the guards. Suddenly a shot sounded somewhere on the edge of the village. The Germans ran out half-dressed into the streets, but it was already too late. Men and women guerillas had broken into the village and were shooting point-blank at the enemy.

One of the first to attack was Valya, a machine-gunner, and her friend Tanya. They quickly occupied a point of vantage and opened heavy fire. In this attack 100 Nazis were killed. Prisoners were taken and four machine-guns were captured.
