PRICES HARDEN
AT MASTERTON STOCK SALE. WETHERS IN DEMAND. The Associated Auctioneers report as follows on their weekly sale held at Masterton yesterday:—A medium yarding of sheep came forward and as at the last sale prices were inclined to harden. Wethers were in demand and made to 22s 9d for 4-tooths and to 18s for 2-tooths. The lambs yarded were mostly medium and cull sorts, but for these the enquiry was good and prices were maintained, a line of w.f. . woolly wether lambs bringing 14s. A total clearance was effected and the following list of our principal sales will indicate values: Fat wethers, 25s to 26s Id; 4-th wethers, 22s 9d; 2-th wethers, 17s 4d to 18s: medium wethers, 16s 4d; woolly w.f.w. lambs, 14s; b.f. lambs, 14s lOd : medium shorn w. lambs, 7s, 7s Id to 7s 3d; medium shorn ewe lambs, 10s, Ils 3d, 12s 6d to 12s 8d; small w.f.w. lambs, 4s Id, 4s 7d to 5s 7d ; small w.f.w. ewe lambs, Bs, 8s Id to 8s lOd.
