ATTACKS ON KISKA

THIRTEEN ON SUNDAY.

PERSISTENT HAMMERING OF ENEMY BASE.

(British Official Wireless.)

(Received This Day, 10.15 a.m.) RUGBY, April 27

“Japanese installations at Kiska were attacked thirteen times on Sunday, by formations of Army planes,’ says a United States Navy communique. “Liberators, Mitchells, Warhawks and Lightnings participated, and although bomb hits were made on enemy positions, poor visibility prevented a complete observation of the results. “A group of Liberators attacked Attar Island and scored hits on runways and other installations.”
