Physical Welfare officers of the Department of Internal Affairs continue to report that many employers are cooperating very helpfully in schemes to provide recreational facilities for workers in factories, particularly women and girls. Canada’s national income reached an all time monthly peak of 700,000,000 dollars for February. This is equivalent to an annual rate of approximately 8,400,000,000 dollars and compares with the tentative estimate of 7,500,000,000 dollars for the whole year 1942.
