LULL IN RUSSIA
UNLIKELY TO LAST LONG WARNING GIVEN BY SOVIET NEWSPAPERS. NAZIS HURRIEDLY MOBILISING RESERVES., LONDON, April 26. In Russia another day has passed without any big-scale fighting. Only minor artillery duels and scouting operations are reported. Soviet newspapers are warning the people that the lull does not mean that the Germans are beaten, although they have suffered an important defeat. The Germans are hurriedly mobilising their reserves and vassal states are being forced to send as many troops as possible. . . The Red Air Force is continuing to attack enemy troops and communications.
