SCOUT NEWS
MOKATOA TROOP HOLDS EASTER CAMP. The Easter camp of the Mokatoa Troop was held in spite of boisterous weather. With sing-songs, good food, and Scout work the boys enjoyed the camp. A trail was laid by the leader and followed successfully by the Scouts. Mr Allsop, District Scoutmaster, paid the camp a welcome visit. Alec Levick, having passed the Tenderfoot test, was invested. For the second class test, Seconders I. Allsworth and T. Camden passed in fire-lighting and cooking, while Alec Levick pass? cd in fire-lighting. For the first class test, M. Gleeson and Patrol Leaders J. Rayne’ and B. Kerslake passed in axemanship. There was no parade of the Mokatoa Cub Pack last week as their Cubmaster, Miss O. Curry, attended a training camp held at Lowry Bay.
