Estimates for the year ending March 31, 1944, were approved by the Wairarapa • Hospital Board at its meeting yesterday as follows, the figure of actual receipts or payments last year being given in parentheses: Estimated receipts, £46,771 (£42,639), local bodies’ levies, £32,075 (£33,757), Government subsidy, £26,337 (£33,299); total, £105,184 (£109,967). Estimated payments, £105,184 (£109,967).

A comparative statement gives details of the percentage proportion the respective local body levies bear to the total levies and total revenue.
