CROQUET CLUB SEASON OFFICIALLY CLOSED, (“Times-Age” Special.) The Greytown Ladies’ Croquet Club officially closed the season on Saturday. There were several competitions held among the members, those successful being: Mrs J. Brunton (French), Miss Udy (French), Mrs A. Haigh and Miss Hill (golf). Afternoon tea was served in the pavilion. , Mrs Carter thanked the members for their c'o-operation during the season, which had been most enjoyable. Personal Items. Mrs E. S. Beverley, of Te Puke, is the guest of Mrs A. York, Kuratawhiti Street. Advice has been received by Mr W. Wenden, of Greytown, that his son, Sergeant Pilot Jack Wenden, has been promoted to the rank of Pilot Officer. TOWN HALL BIG ATTRACTIONS. Tonight there will be shown two big features. In “Ellery Queen and the Murder Ring” (a thrilling drama) the leading roles are taken by Ralph Bellamy and Margaret Lindsay, and in “The Blonde From Singapore” (a picture full of adventure) the chief characters are portrayed by Florence Rice and Leif Erikson.
