“WELL DONE!”

CONINOHAAI CONGRATULATES FIGHTERS ON "EXHILARATING SUCCESS.” AGAINST AXIS TRANSPORT CONVOY. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day. 9.55 a.m.) RUGBY, April 19.. The Warhawks and Spitfires which shattered the huge Axis air convoy in the Sicilian Straits were of Air ViceMarshal Broadhurst’s command. Air Marshal Coningham sent the following message to Air Vice-Marshal Broadhurst: “Fuller details show the greatness of the exhilarating success of your fighters against the enemy’s supply traffic. Please convey my sincerest congratulations and admiration to your force. The Junkers 52 is somewhat coarse game, but most valuable at present. I presume the premium on air passage over the Sicilian Channel has risen astronomically. Well done!”
