INDUCTION SERVICE

• NEW METHODIST MINISTER . WELCOMED. CEREMONY LAST EVENING. There was a large congregation at the Methodist Church, Masterton, last night, when the Rev. G. H. Goodman was inducted. The induction service was conducted by the Rev W. A. Burley, M.A., chairman of the Wellington Synod. District, assisted by the Rev. F. Bateup, of Wellington. Mr Burley delivered charges to Mr Goodman and to the congregation. Mr Goodman was presented by the circuit stewards, Messrs E. M. Hodder and F. G. Rutter. Subsequently a social hour was held in the Sunday School hall to welcome the Rev. and Mrs Goodman, Mr Rutter being in the chair. Addresses of welcome were given by the Revs. Burley, David McNeur and Mr Hodder. Mr Goodman replied. Supper was served.
