OBITUARY
MR PETER KELLY. The death occurred at Wellington, New South Wales, Australia, on Saturday of a former well-known and highly respected citizen of Masterion in the person of Mr Peter Kelly, who for many years had been engaged in business in Queen Street. The late Mr Kelly, who retired some years ago and went to live in Australia, was very popular with a large circle of friends in Masterton, on account of his upright and sympathetic character. He was a well-known bowler in Masterton and took a keen interest in the progress of the town. He was about 70 years of age and was unmarried. He leaves a brother (Mr L. P. Kelly) in Australia and another in Ireland, while two sisters are Mother Superiors in convents in America. A brother, Mr Frank Kelly, died in Masterton some years ago.
