TAUERU
SUCCESSFUL DANCE IN AID OF MAORI WAR EFFORT. (“Times-Age” Special.) The funds of the Maori War Effort organisation benefited considerably from a dance held in the Taueru School on Saturday night. There was a large attendance, which included many members of the Home Guard. Te Tau’s orchestra provided the music and Mr Waitere, of Taueru, was M.C. Supper was served by a ladies’ committee. A competition for a belt worked by Mrs Mangai was won by Miss T. Ihaka.
