TE WHITI

SOCIAL & DANCE SERGEANT IRELAND HONOURED. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Te Whiti Hall was crowded on Saturday night when visitors from many parts of the district were present at a social and dance in honour of Sergeant W. Ireland. The hall was artistically decorated. The music for the dancing was provided by Mr J. West and Mr W. Bradley was an efficient M.C.

In presenting Sergeant Ireland with a cheque and a wallet on behalf of the residents of the district Mr W. F. Rogers wished him success in the future. The recipient suitably replied. Supper was served by the ladies of the district.
