GAMES AT CARTERTON. DELEGATES MEET IN COMPETITION. Northern and Southern Bowling Centre delegates played a series of games at Carterton on Saturday when a most enjoyable time was spent. The green was particularly keen and resulted in some really good bowling. The results were as follow (Northern players 'being mentioned first in each case): —H. B. Thomas, G. Hayne, A. Stubbings, F. Roberts (s), Masterton, lost to L. James, H. McNamara, H. R. Bloxam, H. Rolls (s), Featherston, 13/21; E, Burke, R. Jenkins, A. Osborne, H. Smith (s), Park, beat G. Brunton, H. Nightingale, J. Kiernan, N. S. McLeod (s), Grey town, 26/10; G. Hart, W. Martin, C. Barber, G. Barr (s), Carterton, drew with J. Jolly, H. Madsen, J. Yates, W. Knell (s), Martinborough, 25 all. The final score was: Northern, 1| games, 64 points; Southern, lj games, 56 points. At afternoon tea, Mr G. Hayne thanked the Carterton members for their hospitality, after- which, the ladies, who had attended to the arrangements, were accorded musical honours. MASTERTON CLUB EASTER TOURNAMENTS. In lieu of the one tournament to be held on the two days, it has now been decided by the Masterton Bowling Club to hold two separate tournaments —one on Easter Saturday and one on Easter Monday, for both of which entries will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday. Those members who have already entered for the two day tournament, will be considered to have entered for both tournaments unless they otherwise advise before the above closing date. Different teams will be selected for each day. Members of the Park Club are invited to participate. Play will commence punctually at 9 a.m. each day. RINKS TOURNEY MASTERTON CLUB CONTEST. A rinks tourney played by members of the Masterton Bowling Club on Saturday was won by H. Freeman, Bassett, Andrews, Christian (s), the only rink to score three wins.
