SCOUTS & CUBS
ACTIVITIES OF MOKATOA TROOP. At the usual parade of the Mokatoa Troop last week, two more recruits attended, B. Hourigan and R. O’Shea. During the week one boy passed in signalling for a first-class badge, and also the test for the Ambulance Badge. R. O’Shea passed his tenderfoot test. Two new games were played and othei’ Scout work was carried out. All the arrangements for the Easter Camp have been completed. The Mokatoa Cub parade was held last Friday, when a visit was paid by the District Cub Master, Miss Hubbard, who talked to the boys about her experiences. Michael Keen was enrolled as a Tenderfoot, ahd is now one of the pack. During the week Sixer K. Camden, Second D. Corry, J. Fantham and P. Fantham, passed their House Orderly proficiency badge. Miss Hubbard presented the House Orderly badges to the above four boys. One hat star was presented to Petei' Hunter. Several service stars and one Sixer stripe were also presented. The parade ended with the Grand Howl and prayer. An enjoyable field day was spent by the Cubs yesterday.
