CARTERTON
INDUCTION SERVICE NEW MINISTER WELCOMED. (“Times-Age” Special.) The induction of the Rev. R. Grice took place at the Carterton Methodist Church last night. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. W. A. Burling, M.A., chairman of the district, assisted by the Rev. H. White. After delivering a charge to Mr Grice and the congregation, Mr Burling welcomed the Minister to his nevz circuit. The service was followed by a social hour, during which speeches of welcome were given by the Rev. W. F. Stent, on behalf of the Anglican Church; the Rev. W. J. Couling (Presbyterian), Mr Vaughan (circuit steward), Mr D. King (trustee), and Mr J’. Freddy, on behalf of local preachers. Mr and Mrs Grice suitably replied, and supper was served by the ladies.
