ROTARY CLUB

WEEKLY LUNCHEON MEETING. ADDRESS ON SOLOMON ISLANDS. The weekly luncheon and meeting of the Masterton Rotary Club was held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms today, the president, Mr J. H. Cunningham, presiding over a good attendance of members. Messrs F. R. Henry and H. A. R. Dunderdale were guests of the club. The speaker for the day was the Rev. A. H. Voyce, who has been engaged in missionary work at Bourgainville, Solomon. Islands, for the past 17 years. He gave a most interesting account of the discovery and history _ of this group of islands now occupying so prominent a place in the war news. He also dealt with the missionary work, a report of which appeared in yesterday’s issue. On the motion of the Ven. Archdeacon E. J. Rich, the speaker was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his interesting and informative address. It was decided not to hold a meeting next week on account of the Easter vacation.
