■>- — SITTING OF WAIRARAPA BOARD DISTRICT CASES DEALT WITH. SINE DIE ADJOURNMENTS. A sitting of the Wairarapa Armed Forces Appeal Board was held in Masterton today. Mr F. Cole (deputychairman) presided, and there were also present: Messrs L. T. Daniell and J. W. Lewis, members of the board, and Mr G. F. Whitlock, secretary and Crown representative. In the list of cases which follow the name of the person lodging the appeal is given in parentheses:- — Adjourned sine die: Henry Alexander Muir, shepherd (Director of National Service); Jack Raymond Matthews, sheep farmer (reservist); Campbell Sutherland, accountant (Sellar and Sellar); Enid Elizabeth Thompson, clerk (Sellar and Sellar): Archer Ebenezer Hale, gardener (reservist); Hira Rehu Keltic, chiropractor (E. R. Smith); Huntley Joseph Dudson, accountant (Wairarapa Electric Power Board); Eric Elmer Downes, workshop foreman (Masterton County Council); Robert Lawrence Tayforth, farmer (reservist); William Winhall, motor reconditioner (E. Winhall); Leslie Mervin Archer, transport driver (Mrs L. M. Archer); Gordon Strang Cooper, farmer (P. Cooper), release from camp, reservist to join the Home Guard; Frank Lee Hockley, farm manager (District Public Trustee); David Bartholomew Curry, public accountant (reservist); Melvyn David Reid, butcher (H. Withdrawn, reservist not to serve before July 31, 1943: Walter Norman Cameron, sheepfarmer (W. Cameron). Service postponed: Freeman George Jackson, stud shepherd (R. W. Matthews), until May 31, 1943. Robert Vincent Brader, painter and paperhanger (reservist), until August 31, 1943. Adjourned until next sitting: Robert James Ewing, linesman, and Martin Shaw Ardrey, electrician (Wairarapa Electric Power Board); William Edward Webber, farm labourer (R. W. C. Hodgins).
