MEETING OF MASTERTON COMMITTEE. NURSE’S REPORT FOR MARCH. The monthly meeting of the Masterton branch of the Plunket Society was held yesterday afternoon, the president, Mrs J. Caselberg, being in the chair. There were also present: Mesdames S. L. P .Free, H. Robinson, E. J. Heffer, J. M. Coradine, P. Nathan, H. H. Daniell and H. Morrison and Miss B. Kummer. Several apologies for absence were received. Accounts amounting to £47 4s 4d were presented. A cheque for £l6l 2s 9d, being the subsidy towards the nurses’ salary, was received. Thanks were acorded to Mrs Divers and Mrs Young for the donation of children’s clothing, and to Mrs Marchbank and Mrs Hearne Smith for wool. The nurse’s report for March stated: —Masterton: Visits to office (town), adults 572, babies 548, pre-school child-, ren 82, casuals 37; total, 1202. Visits to homes: New cases 38, old cases 110; total, 148. Pre-school children seen in homes, 13; new cases for month, 13. Pre-natal section: New cases 3; return visits 6, visits to homes 2; total, 11. Tinui Sub-Branch: ' Taueru, 2 visits; Blairlogie, Tinui, Whakataki, Castlepoint, Whareama, 1 visit each; new cases, 3; visits to new cases, 3; visits to cld cases, 18; total, 21. Mauriceville Sub-Branch: Kopuaranga, Mauriceville West and East, Mangamahoe, 2 visits each; new cases, 2; visits to new cases, 2; visits to old cases, 20; total, 22 visits.
