ON JAPANESE FORCES
IN BURMA. R.A.F. BOMBER & FIGHTER OPERATIONS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.55 a.m.) RUGBY, April 12. An India joint communique states: “Yesterday R.A.F. Blenheims dropped bombs on the important Myitkyina railway, about 45 miles south-west of Kath. Another bomber formation," escorted by Hurricanes, attacked an enemy occupied village on the Mayu Peninsula. Fighters, on an offensive patrol, machine-gunned troops and other targets in the Indin area. All our aircraft returned safely. There was some Japanese air activity along the north Arakan coast yesterday.”
