DEFENCE MINISTER

OFFICIAL AND OTHER CALLS IN LONDON . (Special P.A. Correspondent.) LONDON, April 9. The New Zealand Minister of Defence ,Mr Jones, called on Sir James Grigg, Minister of War, and discussed official matters. He met the Duke of Devonshire and also Brigadier N. S. Falla for discussion on air and shipping. Callers included Mrs Reginald McKenna, sister of Lady Bernard Freyberg, whom Mr Jones recently met in Cairo; also Lieutenant-Colonel Bernard Myers, representative of the New Zealand branch of the Red Cross Society and Order of St. John. LieutenantColonel Myers reported on the position regarding parcels for New Zealand prisoners of war. Mr Jones stated he was very satisfied with the position.
