* CROQUET CLUB MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS. The Greytown Ladies’ Croquet Club held its monthly meeting at the Park yesterday afternoon. Mrs H. G. Carter presided. Owing to the wet weather last Saturday the honorary members’ gathering was postponed, but it was decided to hold it next Saturday, when the presentation of cups and trophies won during the season will take place. Plans for top-dressing the lawns during the winter months were discussed. Personal Items. Mr and Mrs W. Stewart, of Kelburn, are the guests of Mr and Mrs A. Gregor, West Street. The Rev. W. Gosnell, formerly Methodist minister at Greytown, and now of Ashburton, paid a visit to Greytown on Tuesday, meeting a number of old friends. Mesdames Keedwell and C. Maxton have returned home after having spent a holiday in Hawera and Levin. Miss Fisher, of Wellington, is the guest of Miss Hill, West Street. The friends of Mrs Tully, Senr., Main Street, will regret to hear that she is at present in the Greytown Hospital. Mr J. Robb returned home yesterday after spending a holiday in Wellington. TOWN HALL “PRIVATE BUCKAROO.” There will be two big features tomorrow night—“ Private Buckaroo,” a musical comedy featuring Joe Lewis and Shempa Howard, and “Moonlight in Hawaii,” a musical comedy, starring Mischa Auer, Jane Faser and Leon Errol. — i
