WEDDING
mcgovern—Andrews. At the Knox Church, Masterton, recently, the marriage took place of Peggy Doreen, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs D. F. Andrews, Masterton, and Hector Selwyn, youngest son of Mr and Mrs R. McGovern, Rangitumau. The bride wore a graceful gown of white lace, her tulle veil falling from a Juliet cap of pearls and orange blossom, and she carried a bridal sheath of white gladioli and roses. A beautiful contrast to the bridal white was the deep rose lace gowns of her bridesmaid, Miss Daisy Groves, and the matron of honour, Mrs Roy Shaw (sister of the bride). They wore tulle head-dresses of the same shade and carried sheath bouquets .to tone. The bridegroom was attended by Second Lieutenant Alister Charleson and the groomsman was Sergeant Lawson Pither. At the reception held in the Masonic Hall, Mrs Andrews received the guests attired in a grey tailored costume worn with navy accessories and pastel shaded spray, and was assisted by Mrs McGovern who wore a navy ensemble with a spray of autumn shades. For travelling the bride wore a teal blue frock with black accessories. Mr and Mrs McGovern have made their home at “Greenhills,” Rangitumau.
