AIR FORCE RELATIONS

♦" — MEETING OF COMMITTEE. At the monthly meeting of the Air Force Relations Committee, the following members were present: Mesdames H. J. W. Lord (in the chair), Ayling, Harcombe, J. A. Betts, Rishworth, and P. Nathan. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames S. J. Gill, G. Sellar, Misses M. Patrick and E. Carey. It was reported that during March woollies were issued to the R.N.Z.A.F. at Masterton. These included 48 pullovers, 9 balaclavas, 12 Cranwell jerseys, 6 scarves, a few pairs of gift socks and gloves, and many pairs of mittens. These comforts were much appreciated by the men. Tinned food was packed for overseas as usual, and exceeded a hundred tins. Butter was again a popular choice. March had been a very busy month, the committee and assistants helping the Patriotic Appeal, as well as taking one afternoon shift each week at the American Red Cross Club. Moore, Laird Meredith, McFarlane, Meikle, P. Nathan, Newson, Ractcliffe, Rishworth, Robb, Sydney Smith, Sellar, D. Thompson, J. Tatham, G. C. Williams, Wright, Misses E. Carey. K. Cruickshank, M. Patrick, M. McEwan, N. McEwan, W. Nicholls, Butement, E. Baird, M. Perry, McEachen, Ashwell, Messrs J. Whiteman, G. Hyde, Pulford and E. Jenkins. Parcels of comforts, knitted garments and tinned food may be sent to any member of the committee, or left at the offices of Messrs Dunderdale and Gray, Perry Street. The parcels will .be packed and forwarded to Wellington on the 20th of every month.
