RANGITUMAU
WOMEN’S DIVISION ANNUAL MEETING OF MEMBERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The annual meeting of the Rangitumau branch of the Women’s Division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union was held yesterday. The president, Mrs. James, read a favourable report on the past year’s work, stressing the excellent work done by the secretary, Mrs. Wrigley, to' whom she presented a cake plate. i The report and balance sheet were adopted. All the officers were reelected for the ensuing year, members unanimously agreeing that the president and secretary in particular were irreplaceable. The aggregate points prizes for the competitions held during the past year were as follow: Flowers, Mrs. Duckett 1, Mrs. Wrigley 2, Mrs. Harvey 3; general competitions, Mrs. Duckett 1, Mrs. Macdonald 2. The monthly flower- competition resulted as follows: Single bloom, Mrs. Wrigley 1; three blooms, Mrs Wrigley 1, Mrs. Duckett 2. At the next meeting two prizes will be offered by Mrs. James for the most attractive apron made from a flour bag, and the best apron from any other material. Afternoon tea was provided and served by the hostesses, Mesdames Wrigley and E. T. Wilton.
