NAZI TERRORISM
EXECUTION OF HOSTAGES IN BELGIUM. “INCIDENTS” INCREASING. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.0 a.m.) LONDON, April 1. The Germans have executed ten of fifty Belgians taken as hostages at Liege, in consequence of four attacks since yesterday against German officers and soldiers. The Germans at first announced that fifteen hostages would be executed, but five were reprieved after one culprit had been arrested. Reports from Belgium to the Belgian News Agency in London indicate that incidents in the Liege Province are increasing. Patriots last night raided a police school at Liege, overpowered guards and carried off all firearms on the premises. Two members of the Gestapo were wounded during a fight with saboteurs. One saboteur was killed. Gestapo agents killed two Belgians near a railway station in Liege and a German officer wounded a Belgian with revolver shots.
