The Master Grocers’ Association states that it will be of utmost assistance to grocers if the public when reregistering for sugar comply with the provisions as outlined by the Rationing Controller and see that they write their name and address in block letters on the reverse side of the page intheir ration books immediately above the 49-52 sugar coupons. Following the resignation of the Premier, Mr. Abul Kasem Fazlul Huq, the Governor of Bengal has enforced the section of the Government of India Act under which he is empowered to assume all the powers vested in any provincial authority if he is satisfied that the government of the province cannot be carried on in accordance with the Act.
