BOWLING
MASTERTON CLUB, MATCH FOR EWINGTON BADGES. (Notes by “The Bowler.”) On the Masterton Club’s green yesterday afternoon a challenge match was played for the J. C. Ewington Badges between the holders, J. Maxwell, W. R. Doughty, C. Perry and E. W. Nielsen (s), of the Masterton Club, and the challengers, C. Moore, H. Carr, J. Shearer, and Kilgour (s), of the Park Club. After an enjoyable game, Masterton won by 13 points. Prior to the commencement of the game, Mr Nielsen extended a hearty welcome to the Park veterans, and Mr Kilgour suitably replied, thanking the Masterton team for their cordial welcome. ' The details of the game are as follow: —Masterton were leading by 6 points on the sth head, and by 4 points on the Bth head. On the 11th head the scores were, Masterton 16, Park 6. This lead was increased to 14 points on the 15th head, and on the 18th head the score board showed Masterton 23, Park 9. The final figures were: Masterton 24, Park 11.
