ON SHIPS & BUILDING YARDS IN HOLLAND t MADE BY AMERICAN BOMBERS. RA.F OPERATIONS IN SAME AREA. LONDON, March 31. United States Flying Fortresses attacked shipping and shipbuilding yards at Rotterdam in daylight today. R.A.F. Dominion and Allied fighters supplied the escort and carried out aggressive sweeps. The crews saw the bombs burst in the target, area, but it was difficult to observe results owing to heavy- clouds. There was heavy anti-aircraft. gunfire, but only slight fighter opposition. One Fortress is missing. R.A.F.' Venturas attacked'' the same target area on Monday. Last evening R.A.F. Mosquitoes attacked radio works in Holland. .On their way back a number of V signs were flashed up to them in the failing light. The planes flew low over the tree tops and round church steeples.
