BUSY AGAINST JAPANESE IN BURMA. SERIES OF EFFECTIVE ATTACKS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.20 a.m.) RUGBY, March 30. Today’s India communique states: “Yesterday R.A.F. bombers, escorted by fighters, -made two attacks on an enemy-occupied village on the Mayu Peninsula. In both attacks all tne bombs burst well in the target area. In the Katha district, bombs were dropped on enemy objectives at Toungoo and Mabein. Last night Wellington bombers attacked a Japanese airfield at Heho. Bursts were observed on the runway and in dispersal areas. None of our aircraft are missing. “Yesterday afternoon six R.A.F..Mohawks intercepted’ about twelve Japanese fighters. In the ensuing dogfight at least three enemy aircraft were badly damaged without loss to our fighters.”
