JOHN BULL CALLING
CALLERS AT MASTERTON OFFICE. A welcome caller at John Bull’s office yesterday, the district Patriotic Committee reports, was a Masterton officer, who had served in Libya, Greece and Crete. He called to express his appreciation of the work done by the Patriotic Committee for our boys overseas and as an earnest of his appreciation he made a donation to the Patriotic funds. Another called was a member of the civil service, who for three years has been giving by way of deduction from his salary. This officer felt that the district was not getting the benefit of the donations through the civil service fund, so he made a further donation. The committee is very grateful for all callers who help our boys. In the Y.M.C.A. report issued this week great stress was laid on the work done by the Y.M.C.A. overseas and in New Zealand camps. The directors of the Y.M.C.A. have asked John Bull to point out that this work is only possible because of the many donations made by all classes -of donors to the Patriotic Funds. The campaign should close today. You still have time.
