WEST SCHOOL

PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION MEETING HELD LAST NIGHT. REFUSAL OF REQUEST RESENTED. Mr ’F. Jestin presided at a largelyattended meeting of the Masterton West School and Home Association last night. It was decided to hold the fancy dress ball on May.l. Indignation was expressed by those present at the attitude of the Wairarapa College Board in not granting the association’s request for the use of the College Assembly Hall for the fancy dress dance. The opinion was expressed by members that the Masterton West School and Home Association was not an outside body but an educational concern and, therefore, entitled to the use of the hall. The next meeting of the Association will be held on April 19.
