TAUERU
FANCY DRESS DANCE PROCEEDS FOR MAORI BATTALION. ("Times-Age” Special.) An enjoyable time was spent at the Taueru School on Saturday night when a plain and fancy dress dance was held. There was a large attendance of district and town residents. The music for the dancing was provided by Mrs Te Tau’s Orchestra. Supper was served by a ladies’ committee. The proceeds from the dance will be allocated to the Maori Battalion overseas.
