HAWKE’S BAY MEETING. Splendid fields of a quality that should ensure first class racing are carded for the first day of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club’s meeting at Napier Park tomorrow. The principal pee. the Hawke’s Bay Cup. finds Rakanui weighted at 9.12 at his favourite distance, one and a quarter miles. Yogi, with 9.7, has good prospects too. A useful bunch comprising Mahaina. Full Hand, Classform, Flying Spy, Pompit, Broker's Dream and Come True might produce the three to salute the judge. Oh the day however, it looks like a top-weight meeting. In the sprint, Autolite, Koi Ragi, Black Robe, ExPupil and Cheerful Lady are looking well. Autolite is due, for a return to form but the public will probably prefer the two brilliant sprinters, Koi Ragi and Black Robe. The public will probably favour the following runners:— Riversleigh Hurdles: Native Chief, Colonel Bogey. Autumn Hack Handicap: Midian Star, Transcript. Poukawa Maiden: Dashup, Quick Decision. Hawke’s Bay Cup: Rakanui, Mahaina. Nursery Handicap: Arai, La Serena. Heretaunga Handicap: Condole, Fiddler's Green. Havelock Flying Handicap: Koi Ragi, Black Robe. Oreka Hack Handicap: Po Huka, Indian Sport. Bay of Plenty Meeting. Record acceptances constitute the fields at the Bay of Plenty Racing Club’s meeting tomorrow. In two races provision has been made for three divisions and in two other races, including the Tauranga CUp race, two divisions have been provided for. In effect, the club has fourteen races to get through. It is probable that so many divisions will not be very, pleasing to race patrons. The following are horses which will possibly find favour with the public:— Trial Plate!—First division: Yes Tor, Verus. Second division: Abbey King, All Glory. Third division: Hunting Mac, Miss Oration. First Jack Tanner Memorial: Olga's Pal, Laddie Boy, Doll Dinks. Hurdles: Hunto, Conflagration, Surpeen. Second Tanner Memorial: Sweet Biscuit, General ■Burleigh. Roman Duke. Tauranga Cup:—First division: Volifox, Regal Fox. Second division: Clinch, Foxlore. Brown Memorial Handicap:—First division: Powys, Edna’s Birthday. Second division: Heroic Star, Skydonna. Flying Handicap: Route March, Kentish, Rara Avis. President’s Hack Handicap:—First division: Water Vixen, Betterman. Secocnd division: Llandine, Many Stitches. Third division: Bright Gesture, Funny Fox.
