ATTACKED SUCCESSFULLY IN BURMA R.A.F. PLANES RANGE FAR , & WIDE. CAMP AT PROME BOMBED HEAVILY. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.40 a.m.) RUGBY, March 23. An Indian joint communique states: “On Monday R.A.F. planes were active over several parts of Burma. A strong formation of Blenheims attacked an important' Japanese transit camp at Prome, with high-explosive and incendiary bombs. Many hits were observed on the target and fires were left burning. The camp was also attacked by fighters. In Arakan, enemy positions at Laungehaung and Kelachaung were also dropped on Akyab. In the Katha district, objectives at Sinbo were attacked and large fires were started. On Monday night Hudsons bombed dispersal areas at Magwe Aerodrome. None of our aircraft are missing.
