Accordintg to the Swiss newspaper “Tribune de Geneve," 100 French patriots in the mountains of Haute Savoie surrendered because of ruthess arrests of local inhabitants, who have been supplying them with food. The situation is now quiet. The Algiers radio says that the patriot forces are almost without food and ammunition. The Paris radio says the Vichy Government has announced that a proportion of demobilised men will be exempt from labour conscription because it is proposed to re-establish some French military formations i such as artillery, anti-aircraft and also ground troops.
