Mr Eden and Lord Halifax today had a brief talk with Mr Cordell Hull and a longer interview with Mr Sumner Welles. Mr Eden subsequently told reporters in Washington that he was very contented with the results of the talks thus far, and added that he expected to see M. Litvinov (Soviet Ambassador) tomorrow. It is understood that Mr Eden and Mr Welles reviewed the steps already taken by their respective governments to frame their post-war policies and for closer Allied co-operation during the critical times ahead. - ...
