INTERHOUSE GIRLS
USE OF COLLEGE GROUNDS. STATEMENT BY ASSOCIATION. Reference to a report in yesterday’s “Times-Age” regarding the use of the Wairarapa College grounds by Interhouse girls’ teams was made at a meeting of the Wairarapa Inuerhouse Association executive last night, when a flat denial of the circumstances as implied at the College Board of Governors’ meeting was made. The coach of the team concerned (only one team is using the ground at 1 present) stated that members of his team, which consisted of the younger members of the association, left the grounds five minutes after the dismissal hour which ranged from 6.45 p.m. to 7.15 p.m. Therefore the association was at a loss to understand why special reference should be made to its possible abuse of the College grounds and felt that the matter should be clarified by a further statement by the College Board. The executive expressed its appreciation of the Acting-Principal’s courtesy at all times in making the grounds available to the girls for training.
