FEARS OF BOMBING
FROM BASES IN CHINA. REPEATED WARNINGS GIVEN IN JAPAN. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) NEW YORK, March 15. The Japanese newspapers, concerned over the possibility of Allied air raids on Japan, are repeatedly warning the people to take all precautions, reports the United Press of America. The newspaper “Asahi Shimbun” says that 300 American and Chinese planes are based in south-eastern China within bombing distance of Japan. Airfields have been developed with materials from India, and ammunition and petrol are reaching China over the northwestern route from Russia, the paper ’hdds.
