SUCCESSFUL DANCE COMPETITION WINNERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The bachelors’ and spinsters’ dance held recently was a decided success, visitors being present from all parts of the Lower Valley. During the evening presentations were made to Privates John Tilson and Alex. Sinclair. The prizes at euchre were won as follows: —Men, Mrs Bragg 1, Mrs W. Taylor 2; men, Mr Nankerville 1, Mr Tomlin 2. Competition winners were: Miss Bolt (chocolates), J. Bragg (peas), Miss Taylor (dinner). Mrs Ashton’s orchestra supplied the dance music. The Monte Carlo dance was won by Miss Sutton and Mr J. Saba, and the Lucky Spot dance by Miss Dickson and Mr Trevor Gray. Personal Items. Mr R. Tamihana is visiting Gisborne. Mr Matenga and his daughter, Mrs Himona, have returned from a visit to Gisborne. Mrs Cole has returned from a short visit to Foxton. Mr Trevor Gray has been staying with his sister, Mrs Baker. Mr J.
