BAPTIST CHURCH

ANNUAL MEETING. At the annual Congregational meeting of the Masterton Baptist Church, tire Rev. J. Cumming presided. Mr W. Teeboon (secretary) presented his report, which showed marked progress in all departments. Special mention was made of the service rendered by Messrs R. Jamieson and Edwards. . Mr W. V. Madden presented the financial statement which showed a considerable credit balance. Reports were also given on behalf of the Sunday School and Bible Class and B.W.M.U. . The election of officers resulted as follows: —Deacons, Messrs W. V. Madden, W. Gaze, W. Teeboon, C. Groombridge and J. Ballinger; envelope |stew>ards, Messrs W. Gaze and N. Madden; communion steward, Mrs Mills; Baptist agent, Mrs Groombridge; deaconesses, Mesdames Cumming, Gaze, Madden and Mills. Mr Cumming briefly addressed the congregation on matters relating to the work of the church,
