POTATO GROWERS
WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION FORMED. MEETING AT GREYTOWN LAST NIGHT. « The formation of a Wairarapa Potato Growers’ Association was decided upon at a well-attended meeting of growers, held in Greytown last night. Mr W. G. K. Wiggins presided. Messrs R. W. Kebbell and R. H. Brewerton, of the Wairarapa Primary Production Council, were present and explained the benefits of the proposed association to the meeting. On the motion of Mr J. Feast, seconded by Mr F. Morgan, it was agreed to form an association of growers. Officers were elected as follow: —President, Mr R. W. Kebbell; secretary, Miss J. Dixon; committee, Messrs Roy Donald (Featherston), J. Atkinson (Martinborough), J. Feast, F. Morgan (Greytown), C. Jensen Senr., and J. Lukies (Carterton). Masterton, Eketahuna and Pahiatua representatives have yet to be nominated. All present at the meeting gave their names as members and others not at the meeting were also enrolled.
