MASTERTON CLUB MEETING LAST NIGHT. SUCCESSFUL COMPETITORS. The Masterton Swimming Club held its weekly competitions last night in the Dixon Street Baths, under very adverse weather conditions. The following were the results:— Junior boys: 75 yards freestyle: I. Reynolds 1, B. Kelly 2, M. Gleeson 3; time, 63 l-ssecs. 25 yards breaststroke: M. Gleeson 1, B. Kelly 2, I. Reynolds 3; time, 25secs. 25 yards backstroke: I. Reynolds 1, M. Gleeson 2, B. Kelly 3; time, 26 l-ssecs. Junior girls: 25 yards freestyle: B. McCormack 1, Y. Ihaka 2, M.Stewart 3; time, 19secs. 25 yards breaststroke: B. McCormack 1, Y. Ihaka 2, M. Stewart 3; time, 25secs. Intermediate boys: 75 yards freestyle: F. Sexton 1, L. Wickens 2, Colin Thorne 3. 50 yards freestyle: F. Sexton 1, L. Wickens 2, Colin Thorne 3; time, 32 l-ssecs. Men: 50 yards freestyle: R. Clay 1, J. Barnes 2; time, 30secs. 100 yards freestyle: J. Barnes 1, R. Clay 2; time, 73 l-ssecs. F. Sexton, of the Masterton Club, will leave Masterton for Nelson on Friday to represent Wellington at the Nelson championships.
