WELLINGTON MEETING. LOCAL CANDIDATES. The Opaki race track has been in full use this week, Trainers T. R. George and Ashley Jenkins exercising horses in their teams which claim engagements at the Wellington Racing Club's meeting at Trentham on Saturday. Wee Bun, with 8.7, will be ridden by W. F. Ellis in the Plunket Handicap. With horses of the stamp of Screen, Master Dash, and Kaite He in the race, Wee Bun will be fully extended. Olein will be ridden by Ashley Jenkins in the Tinakori Handicap of seven furlongs and on form must be given a good chance. The chestnut is at present at the top of his form. Kentucky, which will be ridden by W. F. Ellis, and the Champ, for whom no rider has been engaged, are not strong recommendations. t Ashley Jenkins will ride War Effort in the Highweight Handicap, and Kaite He in the Plunket Handicap.
