FEATHERSTON
CHAR AND STICKERS AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION’S ATTITUDE. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the monthly meeting of the Wairarapa Automobile Association at Featherston it was decided that at the meeting of the North Island Motor ! Union in Wellington next week, delegates should oppose the rationing of “char” for gas-producing vehicles, and to urge a far better quality of windscreen “sticker” showing that cars were licensed. The present issue by the Government was considered to be of very poor quality, and the charge of Is for replacement was considered too. high. Representations already made by the Union had had the effect of having this charge reduced to 6d. The opinion was expressed by members of the Wairarapa Automobile Association that if the Government issued stickers of such poor quality that replacement became necessary, there should be no charge for such replacement. Personal Items. Mesdames Kemp, Annan, Smith, Bott and Miss Edwards (Wellington) are the guests of Mrs L. McKenna, Pahautca. COSY THEATRE “GEORGE AND MARGARET.” Tomorrow night’s programme will be headed by the outstanding comedy, “George and Margaret,” and the thrilling drama, “Mystery Ship.”
