STATE THEATRE
“ALI BABA GOES TO TOWN” Tonight there will be shown one of the most laughter-creating pictures ever brought to the screen, “Ali Baba Goes to Town.” Excellently produced, it is one long laugh and many of the Scenes are on an elaborate scale. The town certainly “sits up and takes notice” when Ali Baba arrives, and his adventures certainly provide the audience with something really worth while. It is a picture particularly suitable for the present time and patrons should thoroughly enjoy it. Some clever trick photography adds greatly to the enjoyment of the picture and shows to what a high standard this art has reached in modern talkies. The leading role is taken by Eddie Cantor. “Ali Baba goes to Town” is certainly one of the mbst glorious musical comedies ever brought to the screen and is full of witty dialogue. The usual matinee will be held on Saturday afternoon commencing at 2.15 o’clock.
